Bits and bites

I invite you on a journey of walking alongside someone else as you both seek to become followers of Jesus that have enough evidence against you that would could easily be found guilty of being people “who walked with Jesus.”

The Bible is about movement seen in pieces.  God is the one that moves history from chaos to order beginning in Genesis going through Revelation.  This same movement should be happening in each of our thoughts, attitudes and behavior toward others and God.

“In this life you shall troubles…” James tell us, is truly a statement of Christians reality.  I hope to blog small amounts (bits) of thoughts and questions.  The bites is my play on computer memory and the fact that life can be difficult.  Inspite of all the biting moments we have a God who redeems pain.  I pray you will find growth, help and possibly a little wisdom on this site to help you face the biting moments and bit by bit gain more and more Godly character.  Peace, Steve

I love being with people. Nothing gives me a buzz like a group. I never sleep in front of the TV, if its on I'm awake. Growing up on a farm has shaped my love of being out in nature. In nature I found peace and communion with God most effectively. My relationship with Jesus shapes everything and touches every aspect of my life as I live aware the Holy Spirit in me can see every action, know every thought and hear every word I speak. My greatest joy in life is helping people grow in understanding and maturity. This includes knowing they are deeply loved by God. In addition to these truths of what drives me, I have been blessed to serve in four churches, in Oregon, Ohio, Iowa, Arizona and now in North Carolina which has allowed me to experience the challenges of rural and inner city life and many of the dynamics at work in this diverse nation.
